Hi there, I'm Jak!

I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, tailoring therapy to each individual. I combine evidence-based approaches, curiosity, and respect in a way that honors your lived experience, your past, and walks with you toward whatever comes next.

If you are an adult exploring your gender identity or sexual orientation, I am here to walk beside you, to support you, and to explore what comes next. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, heartbreak, phase-of-life stressors, and unwanted experiences.

My approach

I am here as a reflective listener and curious guide. I often use a Systemic framework and weave in elements of Narrative Therapy and Attachment Focused-EMDR to assist in empowering you.

My communication style

I use a warm, calm, and grounded communication style in sessions, actively listening and offering reflections and insight. Humor is also a component of my practice, as laughter can be incredibly healing.

My journey to mental healthcare

After embarking on my own journey of self-discovery related to my gender identity and mental health, I decided I wanted to assist those on their own journey by instilling hope in the possibility of not just living but thriving.

My goals for you

First and foremost, no topic is off limits, from the everyday items to the challenging issues. We will collaborate on figuring out if that means starting with learning to manage stress or beginning to unpack trauma. Together, we will navigate the next chapter.

Our first session will start by creating a space where you feel at ease. We'll work our way to talking about what your hopes for this experience will be. Ultimately, I hope you walk away from our first session feeling validated and safe.
