My focus
These days, I find myself working primarily with adults, whether younger or older. My experiences have ranged from working with children and parents to working with adolescents, and now, the senior community. Our shared experiences of the past and present become available to provide context to our current experiences of security and distress.
My approach
My intent is to focus on the sharing of our life stories through an examination of our family experiences. I use a genogram to gather details of family membership, parenting styles, cultural identity, significant events, and details of significant relationships. I seek the patterns of interaction defining our strengths and the sources of distress.
