I have worked predominantly within the mental health and healthcare systems, where I have had contact with people from all walks of life. I have experience as a medical social worker, have previously worked with the criminal justice system and childhood education.
My focus
To date, my main focus areas are in treating and minimizing symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and coping with health ailments and life transitions. I also feel comfortable supporting individuals with more serious psychiatric conditions, so long as they have external medication support.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies to each individual's needs and preferences. I am known to lean on solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and motivational interviewing techniques; however, I can also incorporate elements of humanistic, holistic, and narrative therapy as well.
