Hi there, I'm Jorge!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and worked predominantly within mental health and healthcare systems, where I met people from all walks of life in various stages of their lives. Often times people requiring support navigating tough decisions, under time constraints and systemic/familial pressures.
My focus
To date, my focus areas are on treating and minimizing symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and coping with health ailments and life transitions. I can also support individuals with more serious psychiatric conditions, if concurrently obtaining external medication support.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies depending on your needs and preferences. I lean on solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and motivational interviewing techniques; however, I also incorporate elements of humanistic, holistic, and narrative therapy as well.
