My approach
My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic in nature because I have found that dealing with root issues is most effective long term. I am eclectic as well since I customize treatment to each person. Additionally, I am skilled at developing a therapeutic relationship - as research has shown that this is a robust indicator of treatment success.
My focus
I am flexible in my client focus but I treat adolescents, singles, couples, and families with a focus on parental narcissistic abuse, narcissistic abuse, sleep issues, domestic violence, mood disorders (anxiety, depression), trauma, and spiritual issues.
My communication style
I work hard to build trust and rapport because I believe the therapeutic relationship is the platform where healing takes place. You are the expert of your life and I need to respectfully learn about your internal landscape to be able to join and assist you in your journey.
My journey to mental healthcare
This is a calling for me. It was the example of my exceptional therapist and God who both believed in me and drew me to become a therapist.
My goals for you
We do it together. Sometimes clients are in a lot of pain and/or want to move too quickly. Oftentimes as the layers are removed, issues turn out to be much more invasive/entrenched and take time to address.
My first session with you
They should feel like they can resonate with what I am saying.
