My name is Tanya Douglas. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I help clients re-focus quickly and find ways to gain awareness, improve their outlook, and enhance healing so they can get on with their lives in the best, most constructive, and positive way. I specialize in helping people solve problems and build new skills.
My approach
My approach is collaborative. I work together with my clients to increase insight, and change beliefs they have about themselves, others, & the world to produce positive, lasting change.
My focus
My experience includes mental health services for children, adults, and families who are victims of crime under the California Victim Compensation Program. This includes victims of domestic violence, adult/child assault, and sexual assault/abuse. I also provide in-home therapy for victims of crime, & homebound patients & their families.
My communication style
I provide a safe, empathetic, and compassionate environment for my clients. My clients feel open to disclosing their darkest concerns and so I provide techniques to help my clients get better and stay better, not just feel better temporarily.
