Hi there, I'm Nelcy!

I'm a bilingual therapist who deeply believes in each person's wonderful value and power. I believe in change, and I'm a witness to the transformations in my clients' lives. As a woman, mother, and wife, I bring personal understanding to the therapeutic relationship.

My focus

I work primarily with Spanish speakers experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment disorders, OCD, ADHD, sleep issues, anger management, grief and loss, domestic violence, life transitions, low self-esteem, boundary issues, and stress management. I value everyone's unique story and personality.

My approach

I work primarily with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrate Humanistic Therapy, Gestalt, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. I strive to create a comfortable and respectful environment where you can feel heard, vulnerable, and secure.

My tone is soft and warm. It's important to me that we communicate openly and that you feel respected in our relationship. I'll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.

I always start with an introductory session where you'll share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. I validate your pain, loss, or trauma with empathy and compassion. I want to help you be proactive and generate changes from your first appointment.
