My communication style

I am, my clients tell me, easy to talk to, and I am an active listener. In listening, I have an ear for what may be important to you, or about you, and may highlight something which seems essential or significant that you have said.

My journey to mental healthcare

My personal journey has included trauma recovery and rebuilding a life worth living. This is primarily why I entered the field. My aging journey was challenging in ways that made life difficult and sometimes excruciating. I was tremendously helped by therapy. I think all my life has led me to this work, and I remain curious about others.

My goals for you

We can use specific techniques to identify what your hopes and goals are or frame them together if you do not really know. A desperate need for help or relief can propel you into therapy without a clear idea of what those goals are. Forming clear goals will aid recovery. Your goals may also change over time, which is common during therapy.

Our first session

We will use our first session to set a clear understanding of our responsibilities in therapy. We will address any crisis elements requiring immediate attention. Next, we will conduct a deep dive into your information to gain a better understanding of your circumstances and needs. This will enable us to make the most of each subsequent session.
