My communication style

I communicate openly, directly, and without judgment. I encourage clients to speak honestly and openly, even when discussing difficult or uncomfortable topics. I listen thoughtfully, ask insightful questions, and create a comfortable environment where clients can feel at ease, build rapport, and engage constructively in the therapeutic process.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began in the helping professions in 2012. I wanted work with greater intrinsic value and a deeper opportunity to benefit others. I pursued advanced education and overcame significant obstacles with perseverance. I bring over 20,000 hours of experience across psychology, social work, substance abuse counseling, and clinical counseling.

My goals for you

I teach coping skills such as anger management, frustration tolerance, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution. We identify practical goals based on your priorities and worldview, build on your strengths, develop strategies to manage challenges, and monitor progress together. I help clients turn insight into practical skills for daily living.

Our first session

The first session is primarily about listening. I take time to understand your experiences, issues, strengths, and goals, while beginning to appreciate your world from your perspective. Together, we identify what matters most to you and begin developing a direction for our work. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing concerns.
