Hi there, I'm Lydia!

The journey to mental wellness is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I have always made it my goal to recognize each client's unique experience and traits. I take a collaborative, person-centered approach that respects individual autonomy in setting goals and identifying interventions that fit your personal needs and sensibilities.

My focus

I am especially well-suited for helping people who are neurodivergent, including the autism spectrum and ADHD. I am also LGBTQ+ friendly and knowledgeable. I work well with individuals with personality disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder.

My approach

I utilize person-centered principles in my practice to provide an individualized experience for each client. I utilize elements of various models, including cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, to assist with the development of skills to improve emotional regulation and management of thoughts.

My communication style

I aim to create an open and respectful environment which promotes sharing of thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental environment, in order to facilitate healthy self-reflection, and encourage the development of individualized solutions which work for the specific client. I am here to help you navigate your needs and find what works best for you.

My journey to mental healthcare

My experiences navigating my personal mental health as well as assisting loved ones with their own journeys helped me in recognizing the importance of both compassion and curiosity. My recognition of need for support being particularly high with neurodivergent and queer individuals inspired me to provide care to these often overlooked populations.

I encourage clients to explore their needs and utilize their strengths to identify solutions to their problems. I collaborate with the client to help them create reasonable steps to take in the achievement of their goals so that the process is personal and manageable.
