My communication style

Whenever possible, I take a more casual, yet thoughtful approach in order to help clients feel at ease with the therapy process and encourage open communication and questions. My goal is to create a warm environment where people can feel safe and supported.

My journey to mental healthcare

I always knew I'd land in a helping position, and I ultimately chose social work because of the ability to serve a variety of people. I have worked in the field, wearing many hats and within many public and private systems. I landed in therapy due to a strong desire to help people at the individual level to feel more connected to themselves.

My goals for you

I talk with clients about what is happening in their lives and how they would visualize it if things were different/better. From there, we work as a team to figure out how to get there and regularly check in to ensure we are still on track.

Our first session

The first session will be pretty casual. I will ask a lot of questions, but there may be some things that clients aren't completely comfortable discussing yet. It can take some time to develop enough trust to be vulnerable. We will discuss primary concerns and goals, and what to expect from the therapeutic relationship.
