My communication style

I am a friendly person willing to listen to all your concerns and needs. I want my clients to feel that therapy is a safe environment where they may address anything they want without feeling judged. I will praise you for seeking therapy and choosing to take care of your mental health.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a first-generation Mexican American, I was always my parents' social worker, advocating for them and fighting for their rights, needs, and justice. At a young age, I knew that I wanted to be in a helping field. My experience in mental health eventually led me to know that helping people address their past and current struggles.

My goals for you

I encourage clients to prioritize and set their goals in a collaborative manner. I will always have the client be the captain of this therapeutic ship. I will assist and guide the client via therapeutic interventions to help meet their goals and continue to sail through life.

Our first session

Upon our first session, you may expect a series of questions to get to know you and your specific needs. I will ask about your strengths in order to help build on them and use them to overcome your current and past struggles. Furthermore, I will ask about any current coping skills that currently help regulate you to feel better.
