Hi there, I'm Marti!
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been in practice for over 20 years. I have run my own agency, supervised therapists, and provided direct therapy to many clients involving a wide range of issues and therapeutic needs. I now specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma.
My focus
I work with successful professionals, young adults just starting out, and people striving to feel better about themselves and to have more joy in their lives. Most of my clients have a level of anxiety and depression that is making life a challenge. I also work with grief and trauma, often from the past.
My approach
I use CBT, which will focus on your current challenges and help you develop positive and successful resolution strategies. I give you information, educational material, and homework to practice and help you change to new ways of thinking. I also use EMDR, which is a very effective method to treat trauma, and I specialize in childhood trauma.
