I specialize in working with individuals 50 and older, and their family members, who are dealing with grief and loss, depression and anxiety, life transitions, and the challenges of navigating an ever-changing society and new technology.

My focus

I work with older adults and their caregivers who are struggling with aging, depression, anxiety, declining mental and physical health, grief and loss of a spouse or independence, and the changing roles between elderly parents and adult children.

My approach

My approach varies based on your needs. I draw from family systems and psychodynamic theory, and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Grief and Loss Therapy to help you navigate challenges and build on your strengths.

My style is calm and collaborative. I encourage you to be open, share concerns, and raise questions about the therapeutic process. I welcome feedback and emphasize that sessions are designed to meet your needs, so your active participation guides our work together.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to therapy in middle school, inspired by watching my mother interact with and help others. She taught me to love individuals of all ages, overlooking disability, color, or other defining characteristics.

In our initial intake, I ask about the goals you hope to achieve and what has or hasn't worked with former therapists. Together, we build a safe space where you can explore and work toward meaningful change.

Our first session

During our first session, I'll get to know you and the problems that brought you to therapy. As you share your feelings and pain, I work with you to create a warm, nurturing environment where you feel safe to discuss anything you need to.
