My communication style

My communication goal is for clients to be able to verbally express their inner thoughts and feelings. I like to assist my clients in doing so by modeling appropriate communication in session and ensuring they feel understood. I must create a safe and respectful environment in which the client speaks openly without fear of judgment.

My journey to mental healthcare

Growing up, I was always one for being considerate and wanting to help others. I began my journey through case management, wanting to assist others in reaching their program goals. Through this work, I recognized that I wanted to help others beyond my scope of practice at the time.

My goals for you

My top priority for clients is to ensure their safety by frequently assessing for any safety risks and concerns. I also like to create a comfortable environment that promotes honesty and dialogue.

Our first session

My initial sessions with clients are typically structured in a way that allows clients to talk about themselves and their ongoing challenges. My clients can expect me to review the limits of confidentiality and work with them to create appropriate rules and boundaries.
