Hi there, I'm Evelyn!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who appreciates and is motivated to work with individuals to navigate through challenges and experience growth in their journey.

My focus

I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, ranging from children to older adults. I often engage clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, difficulty in life transitions, bipolar diagnosis, BPD, and dual diagnosis.

My approach

I work as a strategist and not solely as a theorist, in the sense that I will incorporate various modalities to fit what a client presents in each session. I utilize CBT, DBT, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, person-centered, as well as psychotherapy approaches.

My communication style

I'm very much client-focused and aim to truly meet an individual where they are at. I work on making sure anyone I meet with feels the compassion and empathy I hold for them.

I see it as a privilege to be able to have people share their difficulties and struggles with me. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of populations in various settings, but always strive to respect the needs that are presented.

My goals for you

I work on creating goals with the input of each client. I focus on emphasizing and understanding their needs and wants and incorporating their desires to create each therapeutic goal.

Our first session

During the first session, I would want to allow the client to share their current situation and reason for seeking therapy. I hope to be able to get to know the client and what is important for them to begin the process of finding a solution or journey to that version of themselves they hope to reach.
