Hi there, I'm Amy!

Grief is not a medical disorder to be cured. Grief is not a spiritual crisis to be resolved... Grief is, simply, a matter of the heart - to be felt." -Joanne Cacciatore My work as a counselor is primarily focused on grief. In my practice I hold compassionate, safe space for full expression of feelings.

My focus

I support adults of all ages, cultures, ethnicities, and religions who have experienced the death of a loved one, or are experiencing life transitions, stress, caregiving stress and grief, or have recently received a terminal illness diagnosis. I specialize in traumatic loss (loss of a child, untimely loss, and sudden loss).

My approach

I facilitate expression of feelings by utilizing narrative therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, grief education, Gestalt therapy, and existentialism. I am a certified Compassionate Bereavement Care provider, having completed an intensive training course on the subject with Dr. Joanne Cacciatore.
