I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and I have received training in both nursing and medical fields which enables me to apply medical and nursing theories to manage my patients mental health. In addition to medication management, I am able to utilize holistic approaches to care to meet my patients needs.
My approach
I believe in a strong connection between mind and body. My approach is based on the holistic care model involving all aspects of life including psychological, biological, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions. I understand that our mental health is inseparable from those aspects and our environment, relationships and lifestyle play crucial roles in our mental health.
My focus
I treat patients ages 18 and up and my areas of focus include depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, substance use, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and bipolar disorders.
My communication style
I am an avid listener and authentic provider. I believe in a multifactorial approach in managing my patients mental health. Combining psychopharmacology, psychotherapy and lifestyle changes is the optimal approach, leading to the best clinical outcomes and long term relief of mental health conditions.
My first session with you
To ensure we have a productive first visit, please be sure to fill out your intake form in advance! During our first visit, we will complete a full mental health assessment and evaluation. There will be lots of questions during this visit, especially regarding your medical and mental health history. Once we have completed your evaluation, we can then discuss a treatment plan specific to your needs that will get you on the road to feeling better as soon as possible!
