I enjoy getting to know my clients and hearing them share their stories. I've found that being a better listener is more effective than having something to say. I certainly do have things to say, but it really helps to hear a client's perspective of the problem(s) they are experiencing or have suffered with.
My focus
I prefer to work with anyone who is willing to do the work needed to effect the change they seek. I enjoy couples therapy and working with older populations, and those who need to manage chronic medical conditions.
My approach
I draw from CBT, strength-based, solution-focused, and psychodynamic approaches. I want to help others improve how they say what they say. We can not change the past, but we can make today count, as it is never too late to be what you might have been.
