I will always greet a person with a friendly hello and state my name at the beginning of the conversation with a smile and a sense of warmness. I will address the client by their last name until I am told differently. I will give the client my full attention. I will ask what their needs are and what they would like to address. I will remain professional at all times.
My approach
My focus is on Personal Growth and Self-Esteem, General relationship challenges (family, friends, co-workers), Marriage and Partnerships, Religion and Spirituality, and Mental Health as well as addictions, using a psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive, cognitive-behavioral, and client-centered therapy approach.
My focus
My goal is to be compassionate in all situations, to offer a listening ear, and offer a safe place to process and heal from emotional stress. I specialize in mental health, addiction, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and spiritual concerns.
My communication style
I believe in creating a therapeutic alliance by offering a listening ear, a calm voice, and being empathetic when it is needed and appropriate.
My journey to mental healthcare
In 2004, I had a few life-changing experiences that caused me to want to give back to those who suffer from mental health disorders as well as addiction. I am thankful that I was given the chance to have good friends that led me to become a therapist and helped me develop a strong sense of self.
My goals for you
I believe when setting goals with clients, goals are agreed upon and achievable. The client and therapist create a plan of action, keep track of what has been accomplished, track those things that the client does not want to repeat, identify things that are holding them back, and things that inspire the client.
My first session with you
I usually ask questions about presenting concerns as well as the history and background of the client.
