Hi there, I'm Crystal!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Both Texas and California. I work with individuals, families, parents, and couples (premarital, married, divorcing, and divorced, co-parenting couples). I am a Structural Family therapist who incorporates CBT.

My focus

I create a non-judgmental environment and am an avid believer in social justice. I address disenfranchisement, marginalization, sexism, poverty, and racism that create barriers in relationships. I work with individuals, families, parents, and couples navigating relational pain, destructive patterns, and healing.

My approach

My client is the relationship, and my goal is that you experience a new life in your relationship. I am a structural family therapist who incorporates CBT. I then focus on identifying the core beliefs you hold that are triggered by your current circumstances and begin to challenge those beliefs so that you can begin to have internal healing.

My communication style

I am supportive but direct; I focus on being present with the client in their suffering without pushing them to move, while also working to develop insight into how the client may be contributing to their own distress. We can not change others, but we can change ourselves, so if we have a personal contribution to our distress.

My journey to mental healthcare

I believe in helping people heal internally before they couple or parent, so they don't recreate painful patterns. When we seek relationships from our pain, we typically make the same destructive decisions. My work centers on breaking those cycles through insight and core belief work.

My goal is that you experience new life in your relationship. Through therapy, you'll learn to function differently in ways that change the dynamics. By addressing core beliefs and internal healing, you'll stop recreating painful patterns and start building relationships from a place of wholeness.

In our first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and the patterns you're experiencing in your relationships. I'll help you begin to identify the core beliefs that may be contributing to your distress. You can expect a supportive but direct approach as we start mapping out how we'll work together toward healing.
