Hello, my name is Claudio Cassinelli, LCSW (LCS 24686). I believe that every client has the potential to find their own path toward healing and well-being.
My approach
I prefer an eclectic approach to the therapeutic process but I definitely frequently utilize CBT.
My focus
I have worked with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, relational conflict, and other issues.
My communication style
Building rapport is the most important part of the therapeutic process as it sets the foundation for collaborative treatment. My focus is on creating a safe environment for the client to be able to open up and work effectively within therapy.
My journey to mental healthcare
People have gravitated towards me for support and advice since I was young. What solidified this path further was when I worked at a county agency and would interpret for our department social worker. I remember being in awe with how the patient would leave the office feeling supported and less distressed following a short session.
My goals for you
Goals are an integral part of the therapy process as they are the road map that helps guide the client towards reaching their destination.
My first session with you
Typically a first session or intake will consist of information gathering including presenting symptoms, family history, treatment history, etc. This information starts to paint a picture of the client’s experience. We will also explore treatment goals including the client’s expectations for therapy.
