I work primarily with couples on communication issues in the relationship, with a focus on how to have uncomfortable conversations so annoyances don't turn into resentments.

My approach

I use Gottman techniques and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples to help identify unhelpful communication and interaction cycles that couples can fall into. I also specialize in addiction and co-dependency issues.

Our first session

The first session is generally an intake session that lasts 50-60 minutes. I like to prepare a session recap for clients that they can use between sessions to help them stay focused on effective, helpful, positive interactions and behavior change.
