Hi there, I'm William!

My name is Dr. William Lambos. I am a licensed psychologist in California and Florida. I like to work with adults and especially with people who deal with professional and career-related challenges, but I like to think I can help anyone who is ready to make a meaningful change.

My approach

I believe that both beliefs and emotions contribute to how we see ourselves and how we overcome issues. I think early life experiences play a large role in how we function as adults, and connecting these is often a big step to overcoming issues and achieving our goals.

My focus

I enjoy working with others who have many responsibilities, both professional and interpersonal. I work especially well with business professionals and those who have to manage stress in order to meet their goals and desires. I believe that much of what people struggle with can be seen as "self-disturbance", and that is typical of the human condition. But it doesn't have to be!

My communication style

I am open-minded and non-judgmental. Most clients are more critical of themselves than are healthy, so the last thing I want to do is criticize you. Rather, I want to have open-ended discussions about how to be accountable while learning to accept yourself. When a person can do both these things, they are empowered to achieve what they want.

My journey to mental healthcare

I had to overcome many of my own issues over my journey. I was insecure, had ADD, and struggled with both school and relationships. I eventually realized that I was in charge of my life and that there was no "easy out" from alcohol or addictions. Once I realized that I could choose how to feel about myself and the world, I gained the desire to share this with others. I feel best about myself when I have helped others do the same.

My goals for you

In the first few sessions, I like to explore the goals of therapy with every client. It is important to understand that many clients don't even know what these are upon committing to therapy. But motivational interviewing and listening to the client will bring these goals to the forefront.

My first session with you

A little information about me, and a lot of listening to them. Before any client can benefit from therapy, they have to be able to feel safe and to be reminded that everybody has issues - no one is above life's struggles, and everyone can be helped.
