I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been working in Community Mental Health, serving chronically and persistently mentally ill populations for the past ten years. I immigrated to the US and belong to a minority culture myself. My desire to help others led me to my current path, which is my second career.

My focus

I work with adults 18 and above who are seeking change. My focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and women's issues. I welcome clients from all paths of life who are ready to explore growth and healing.

My approach

I use cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and a client-centered approach. This combination allows me to tailor treatment to your unique needs, offering both practical tools and deeper insight to support meaningful change.

My communication style is warm, supportive, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. I balance active listening with thoughtful guidance, offering both empathy and practical tools to help clients navigate challenges.

My journey to mental healthcare

This has been a mid-career change for me. I was always interested in gaining a deeper understanding of human resiliency, emotions, relationships, and personal growth, which led me to change career paths and enter the field of psychology and then social work. My journey has reinforced my belief in the power of healing through connection.

I incorporate structured techniques, such as SMART goals, to create clarity and measurable progress while also allowing space for exploration and growth.

The first session is a welcoming and collaborative space where we begin to know each other. I take time to understand your concerns, goals, and what brings you to therapy, while also sharing a bit about my approach. This session is also an opportunity for you to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
