My name is Ian Struthers. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW License Number: 100747) with ten years providing clinical mental health services and psychotherapy to adults and adolescence.
My approach
I encourage my patients to view therapy as a gift we give ourselves to explore, grow and improve your well-being and quality of life during difficult times. I use a strengths-based and client-centered approach to support them in addressing current challenges, stressors, and behavior.
My focus
I am trained and experienced in working with diverse populations to overcome challenges caused by depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, substance use, and grief.
My communication style
I encourage my patients to view therapy as a collaboration centered around supporting them with their needs and goals. Together, we will establish a therapeutic alliance and create a safe space where you will be heard without judgment.
My goals for you
In our sessions, we will identify presenting issues, goals of therapy, and timelines for achieving those therapeutic goals. This includes learning and practicing effective, evidenced-based tools and skills in order to build resiliency, empower yourself, and make the changes you want to make in your life.
