I work with diverse clients, focusing on urban and underserved populations including transitioning immigrants and those in poverty-stricken neighborhoods with limited access to services. I also support couples, families, and multi-cultural individuals.
My approach
A variety of different kinds of psychotherapies and interventions are effective for specific disorders. Motivational Interviewing is used to extract self-awareness in order to then use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to challenge irrational thinking patterns and coping skills that may be a barrier to self-improvement, healing, and productivity.
