Hello, my name is Leslie Lopez. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing for the past 8 years. My main focus is working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, postpartum, and trauma.
My approach
My approach is client-centered to build trust and support while processing difficult past traumatic memories and day-to-day stressors. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which are therapeutic techniques to assist clients with overwhelming thoughts, emotional dysregulation, communication skills, mindfulness, and ways to manage distress.
My focus
I typically work with adults experiencing severe anxiety and depression that affects their social functioning, relationships, and work functioning. Many of my clients also consist of adults working on coping with unresolved trauma.
My communication style
My communication style is very relaxed and calm. My goal is to give you the time you need to process without feeling rushed or judged.
