Nicole Grimes, LMFT. I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist and use solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. My approach will be customized to your specific needs and goals as we work together through your journey of healing, self-awareness, and transforming your life.
My approach
Whether you are new to therapy or have years of experience, I am here to create a safe and authentic space to explore and express yourself freely without judgment as we work together to establish goals, utilize tools, and navigate through life's challenges.
My focus
I work with couples and adult individuals. If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, postpartum, parenting skills, relationship challenges, family issues, domestic violence, loss/grief, identity, race, and cultural issues, or just need someone to talk to, I am here for you.
My communication style
The environment I wish to create for my patients is safe, supportive, and honest. My communication style uses the straightforward and direct logic of cognitive behavioral therapy combined with the warmness and authenticity of humanistic/person-centered therapy.
My journey to mental healthcare
My personal mission as a therapist is to provide an experience where a person may feel seen, accepted, and supported in their growth.
My goals for you
Establishing goals for therapy will be a journey we take together. You are the driver setting the pace and speed of our journey while also choosing the destination. I will be the passenger, here to provide tools and guidance to assist in navigating us to your destination.
My first session with you
Our first session will be focused on learning about where you've been, where you are, and where you'd like to go. I will gather information from you to help me to understand how I may help you
