Hi there, I'm Nicole!

My clients describe me as a very easygoing and great listener who uses empathy and compassion and matches them on their level. I have plenty of experience working with preteens, teens, and adults and helping with anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, and life stressors.

My focus

I have experience in many areas such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, OCD, BPD, grief, trauma, life stressors and changes, and relationship issues. I've also worked with many different demographics.

My approach

My approach is very client-centered. I tend to use CBT, DBT, ERP, Narrative, and Solution-Focused approaches to help people achieve their goals and tailor my techniques towards what my client needs because everyone is different.

My communication style

I would say I am easygoing and relatable. I believe in respecting clients and building therapeutic relationships to encourage trust. As I mentioned, I try to be on the same level of energy as my clients and do my best to make people feel comfortable.

My journey to mental healthcare

There were a few things that led me to become a therapist. One was I was a residential sub at an elementary school and enjoyed teaching and working with kids but wanted to help on another level. I also wanted to be the person I didn't have and help people feel heard instead of judged or ignored.

My goals for you

Goal setting is discussed in the evaluation session and then built upon as the sessions progress. I tend to let clients lead on what they feel they want to work on, and then adjust as we go as needed and assess for changes.

Our first session

The first session is the evaluation to make sure we're a good fit. It's about creating a therapeutic relationship and building rapport. This is where you can ask me questions, and I ask you questions to see what brought you into therapy and ways to create plans to help you be a better you.
