Anni Ebrahimi

Hi there, I'm Anni! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing psychotherapy through telehealth services. I am a compassionate therapist and a good listener; I build up rapport with my clients easily. My therapy modalities are specifically tailored to client needs. I am also fluent in Armenian and Farsi.

My approach

I take a holistic approach, using various practice styles such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Reality Therapy to work with clients who have struggled with different issues including anxiety, depression, domestic violence, trauma, and conflicts in their relationships. I also focus on helping clients address cognitive distortions that are displayed through negative behaviors. My focus is on healing, processing, and building resilience.

My focus

I have years of experience at community mental health agencies working with a variety of cultures and populations, including children, adolescents, transitional-age youth, adults, families, and the elderly. I have tons of experience working with immigrant populations guiding them to progress and achieve their goals. I am also well-experienced in helping individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, domestic violence, family struggles and conflicts in relationships.

My communication style

I provide clients with a safe environment to build trust and share/process feelings and thoughts. When I start with a new client, we spend the first few sessions getting acquainted and building rapport. Meanwhile, we will decide on at least one goal for treatment and have a concrete discussion about the steps the two of us will take together to help you reach your goals. For some, we spend our sessions learning and practicing specific skills and I may offer short, optional homework assignments. For others, the work is more self-exploratory and insight-oriented. For many, it may be a combination of all of the above and more, depending on the unique individual needs of each client.
