I work as an interpersonal and client-centered therapist. I treat my clients like they are the most important person in the room and help them create a space to better understand themselves and improve their lives.
My focus
As a queer Latina in recovery, I have a long history of working with marginalized communities such as LGBTQ+ people of color, working-class folk, and substance abuse. I don't limit myself to these populations because anyone brave enough to ask for help is a star in my book.
My approach
I'm a big believer in the idea that it's the relationship with your therapist that heals whatever is bothering you. I practice empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. More on that later. Walking the walk instead of just talking the talk is what I try to do every day with my clients.
