Hello, I am Jocelyn Barron LMFT. I have been working with youth and families for nearly 15 years. I can provide client-centered therapeutic support for those struggling with childhood trauma as well as permanency/adoption related concerns (serving the whole adoption triad).
My approach
I provide client-centered and humanistic support peppered with cognitive behavioral techniques and an attachment-focused approach.
My focus
I can work with you and families who have experienced childhood trauma and attachment injuries.
My communication style
I am a light hearted optimist who believes there is always room for humor while dealing with serious matters of the heart.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always been a counselor, I just used to do it for free before I received my training and licensure. I have a heart and passion for helping myself and others to becoming the best people we can be.
My goals for you
I am client-centered but also goal-oriented believing that therapy is a stepping stone or tool used to help us on the journey of self-discovery and exploration.
My first session with you
Our first session will entail us getting to know one another and exploring if we are a good fit, after which we can develop a plan to help address your most pressing matters.
