My communication style

I strive to create a warm, relaxed, and nonjudgmental environment with clients. I value open communication that includes gentle challenges and direct feedback, when appropriate. I believe building a strong rapport with clients helps to create a trusting environment where risks can be taken in the healing process. I genuinely care about my clients.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been interested in people’s stories. I studied psychology in college and loved learning about the brain, emotions, relationships, and how we learn, grow, and heal. I served in a volunteer program, and I worked at a gang rehabilitation program and noticed that the clients with the most growth were also the clients receiving therapy.

My goals for you

I believe goal setting is a collaborative effort. When setting goals, I believe it's important to be specific, realistic, and attainable so they can be built upon. Goals are a great way to measure progress in therapy.

Our first session

During the first session, we'll review some legal paperwork and spend time getting to know each other. First sessions are a great time to discuss expectations, hopes, and goals, and to see if we would be a good fit to work together moving forward.
