Hello, my name is Patricia, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Success in therapy starts with a good therapeutic relationship and building this foundation is what I focus on establishing with my clients.
My approach
Every person is unique in their own way, and so is their response to challenges, which is why I personalize my therapeutic approach to ensure I am meeting my clients where they are, allowing them to guide their therapeutic journey. I tailor my holistic approach by utilizing interventions from various treatment models including CBT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Solution-Focused.
My focus
I am willing to see individuals, couples, and minors aged 13-17. My specialties include working with adolescents and teens, anxiety, depression, coping skills, panic attacks, stress, self-esteem, relationship issues, family conflict, and codependency.
My communication style
This relationship is what helps you feel safe to reveal your true self and work on the things that led you to seek therapy in the first place. As a therapist, my goal is to help my clients improve their quality of life while learning more about themselves, their emotions, and ways to cope with their daily life stressors.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge from August 2012 to December 2014. I completed my clinical hours for licensure from January 2015 to December 2018 at SFVCMHC, Inc. in Van Nuys, College Hospital Alhambra PHP, and For the Future in Simi Valley.
My goals for you
I want you to notice your change and growth while in therapy and one day be able to tackle challenges on your own with the skills and knowledge you gained. Let's work together to help you achieve your goals.
