My communication style

First and foremost, I take an approach of unconditional positive regard. While I may challenge stuck thinking, I am here to encourage you to be the best version of yourself. I often use humor to help my clients see reality for what it is, but ultimately, I will always view you as a person who deserves respect.

My journey to mental healthcare

I knew I wanted to be a therapist from early adulthood. I wanted to assist my clients with feeling seen, heard, and supported. Regardless of the struggles with mental illness, I have always found my patients to be inherently worthy of respect and to live a full and satisfying life.

Our first session

Our first session is a time for me to learn about you - who you are, where you have been, and where you want to go. Unlike follow up sessions, I will ask a lot of specific questions to learn about you, but after that first session, I give you the reins and we will go where you want to go.
