My communication style

I'm a warm, empathetic and accessible therapist who believes in being reachable, non judgmental and honest with my clients. I will always support you, and see your best interests but I will also tell you what I really think when I see appropriate.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have been in the therapy field for more than 20 years. My background as a social worker allowed me to work with a diverse population. I have learnt from each client I've met, and this is more than just my profession; it is truly a personal call.

My goals for you

I encourage them to be creative, realistic, and have self-empathy in reaching their goals. I identify barriers and help clients find ways to overcome them. Many times it's mostly in our heads, and the fear is greater than the actual task at hand.

Our first session

It's very easygoing. I start by listening to what has brought you to therapy and what your goals are. I will ask about previous attempts at solving the issue and will take some background history of you. I will give you time to ask me questions and will clarify the frame in which therapy is conducted. You will need to sign some paperwork as well.
