Hi there, I'm Stephanie!

I provide therapy to people in a variety of settings, including private practice, crisis facilities, hospitals, clinics, and school settings. I work with a wide range of clients on a variety of issues.

My focus

I work with adults, children, and adolescents in areas of crisis management, anxiety, depression, grief, work, and school-related stress, relationships, and parenting, along with many other issues.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is both person-centered and cognitive behavioral. I provide a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment conducive to honest self-exploration. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which involves treatment to change thinking patterns and cognitive distortions.

My communication style

I work with people to help them understand their feelings and develop new skills, tools, and coping mechanisms to deal with life challenges and situations.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist began when I was chosen to help at-risk elementary-age students with various issues. After working with these children and witnessing their improvement in school and social settings, I realized this was my calling to help people, and I never looked back!

My goals for you

The first step to goal setting with my clients is to build a therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client. This includes building trust as well as an understanding of what it means to be in therapy. Then, we can set attainable goals that the client is comfortable with and track progress together.

Our first session

The first session involves attaining background and history, and a detailed description of how the client has been feeling and what prompted them to seek therapy. The first session is our initial connection and gives me information on how to proceed.
