My name is Shaghayegh “Shauna” Lopez and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist (#89937). In my approach to therapy, I am dedicated to fostering a compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based environment that empowers individuals to navigate challenges, enhance insight and communication, and build stronger and more resilient relationships.
My approach
I utilize psychodynamic and humanistic approaches to enhance personal understanding as I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to contribute to improving overall well-being.

I am looking forward to working with individuals challenged by managing daily stressors and needing support in enhancing the quality of their relationships with themselves and others.

I provide a compassionate and safe space to allow my clients to show up as their authentic selves and tap into their values and beliefs to cultivate connection and inner strength.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always loved learning about myself and others and as I was evaluating career choices, I always found myself coming back to the power of connection, empowerment, teaching, and nurturing growth through advocacy, education, and guidance. I am driven as a therapist because I believe that with a deep connection, one can truly work on themselves to improve their self-esteem and self-worth which in turn enhances their daily life. The world can feel so scary and unpredictable and yet we have the skills and the ability to not just survive but thrive.
