My goal for each of my clients is to assist them in recognizing their own strengths and abilities to help them live meaningful lives and reach their full potential. I provide evidence-based treatment to assist clients in addressing their mental health needs.
My approach
My approach is client-centered and I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is the first step to beginning positive change. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them identify their coping skills and strengths, create insight into their challenges, and reach their goals. I use an individual approach, pulling from relevant treatment therapies, in order to individualize treatment for each client.
My focus
I have over five years of experience working in several areas of mental health care and specialize in those struggling with serious mental health issues, such as depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, anxiety disorders, substance use, and trauma.
My communication style
I communicate in a warm, empathetic manner, actively listening to understand your unique perspective. My style is collaborative - we'll work together to identify challenges, build on strengths, and pursue your goals. I'm direct but supportive in sharing insights and guiding our therapeutic work.
My journey to mental healthcare
I completed my Post Doc at Alpine Special Treatment Center from 10/2016-10/2017 and my CAPIC Pre Doc Internship at Palomar Outpatient Behavioral Health from 08/2013-08/2014.
