Hello! My name is Mariah Guidry and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’m mindful that therapy can be a vulnerable experience, that requires trust and connection. I strive to provide support and guidance while assisting others with processing experiences and navigating challenges.
My approach
My focus is creating an understanding, trusting and safe environment to others to explore current barriers/struggles so they can achieve self empowerment and healthy functioning. I utilize psychodynamic, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, systemic therapy, solution focused therapy, trauma focused therapy, humanistic approach, motivational interviewing, as well as other forms of therapy to assist people with discovery.
My focus
As a licensed provider with experience working with a range of conditions from Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Marriage/family challenges, Grief, self esteem, cultural/racial issues, and life stress. I have comfort in discussing and working with others on processing the experiences correlated to specific events. I would like to partner with you in exploring, cultivating and trusting the process towards enhancing a more healthy you!
My communication style
The individuals, couples and families I’ve worked with over the years, have expressed an abundance of gratitude for the empathy, trust and connection I bring in the session and within the therapeutic relationship. We all have unique experiences that contribute to our behaviors, thoughts and maintenance of relationships. I strive to have a natural dialogue regarding experiences because you are the expert in telling your story.

I take a collaborative approach with goal setting. I like for both and/or all of us to focus on the most significant issue that hinders progress and success.

In regards to the first meeting, please expect a comfortable environment for you to share your personal experiences and allow me to walk with you during exploration.
