Hello! My name is Brigit Jacoby and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In the last 6+ years, I have worked with various populations including older adults and their families, children and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and middle-school-aged youth with behavioral challenges. My focus area of practice is working directly with an individual to meet their desired goals while balancing challenging parts of life.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is heavily dependent on where my clients are at as we navigate life’s challenges including Anxiety, Depression and working on balancing personal and work relationships. With Evidence-Based practices such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, clients can expect to achieve significant growth in levels of confidence and self-awareness.
My focus
I typically see clients aged 3-18 years old, adults, and older adults. I am most comfortable treating individuals with Anxiety, Depression, struggling to maintain a work-life balance, and helping individuals feel confident in their networking and relationship-building abilities.
My communication style
My calm tone and gentle presence provide a safe space for clients to share what is on their minds.
My journey to mental healthcare
Since I can remember, I have always had strong connections and curiosity for people of all ages and that is what ultimately motivated me to pursue this career. I also simply care about people wanting to meet their goals however small or grandiose.
My goals for you
Goal-setting can be overwhelming for folks so I work with the individual to determine the best strategies that have worked for them in the past by building on a foundation as we move along in the treatment process.
My first session with you
Clients can expect a stress-free environment with their first session with me as it is simply an introductory call and we are here to get to know one another and determine if we are the right fit for one another.
