My approach is strength-based, focusing on your internal talents and problem-solving skills. I primarily work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and mood dysregulation.

My focus

I work with adults of various ages, ethnic backgrounds, and genders, including the LGBTQ community. I am very comfortable treating folks dealing with depression, anxiety, and mood dysregulation. I am fluent in Spanish and comfortable treating Spanish monolingual clients.

My approach

I create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable addressing your concerns. I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to assist with mood regulation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify and replace unproductive thought patterns, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you solve and overcome problems.

My communication style is warm, friendly, direct, and interactive. I have been described as having a silent presence that creates a safe and warm space for discussion.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been interested in human behavior, language, culture, and resources. Growing up in a single-family household with limited financial resources shaped a strong sense of resilience, kindness, and compassion, leading me to a profession of service and a drive to help others improve and thrive.

My goals for you

Consumers are the experts of their own lives and paths. I work collaboratively with consumers to create goals based on their experience, strengths, and desired changes. I also assist consumers in identifying positive health coping strategies for practice in between sessions.

During the first session, I will focus on building rapport, identifying learning styles, and begin identifying problem areas, concerns, and the drive for change and improvement.
