Hi there, I'm David!

I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals or couples can experience forgiveness, healing, and emotional reconnection. This honest space provides a platform for developing solutions that will strengthen relationships, help change distorted thinking, and shift undesirable behavior.

My focus

I help couples identify and work through challenges in their marriage. I also counsel men who want to better manage challenging life experiences. I provide a confidential space where couples can learn skills to improve their relationships and men can work through work, family, and relationship issues.

My approach

I am a client-centered therapist utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. I am committed to helping individuals and couples work through the life and relational issues they are struggling with.

My communication style

I provide a nonjudgmental, safe, and confidential environment where clients can feel secure in sharing the difficulties they are experiencing. I am client-centered and encourage open, honest communication.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have been in pastoral counseling and feel the Lord has given me the demeanor and wisdom to help people work through the challenges that are presented as we live life. I have worked with individuals who struggle with substance use, couples with marriage problems, premarital counseling, and those with severe mental health disorders.

My goals for you

I am client-centered and believe the client has the best understanding of where they want to go in their life. With this in mind, I work collaboratively with each client to identify and set SMART goals and allow these goals to direct our therapy relationship.

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and to consider whether there is a good therapeutic connection. I believe a good therapeutic connection will facilitate progress toward meeting therapy goals.
