My approach

I use cognitive-behavioral therapy to help you identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that are stopping you from being your best self. This approach is collaborative, hands-on, and gives you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. I also utilize mindfulness and reality therapy to fit your individual needs.

My communication style

Clear and open communication is my top priority. I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences. If we're working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm, understanding, and patient.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey into therapy began with seeking help to navigate my own personal challenges. As a clinician of color, I found that not many individuals assisting me looked like me. It became important to me to become a part of this healing community and support others through their journey.

Our first session

Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another and ensure we are a good fit. We'll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. It's completely normal to feel anxious about your first appointment. We'll take it one step at a time through this process, and I will be there to continuously encourage you.
