My journey to mental healthcare
At a young age, I found myself to be highly sensitive, passionate, and empathetic (sometimes to a fault). I double majored in Psychology and Sociology at Pitzer/Pomona College where I chose to study abroad in Zimbabwe for a semester. I lived in a rural village coupled with urban and suburban environment where I attended the University of Zimbabwe. I studied the social welfare, health, economic and political system as well as interned at an orphanage. It was working in a third-world country and this specific orphanage where it became clear to me that social work and advocacy would play a huge role in my professional and personal life. I became dedicated to serving and empowering others; helping the disenfranchised develop a voice. I feel grateful to be able to be in a position to help others and find this work incredibly meaningful and transformative.

I seek to build a partnership and utilize your strengths while teaching useful problem-solving and coping skills to help maximize your success. I find great satisfaction in helping my clients progress as they become and more confident and successful in managing their unique challenges. As we meet set goals, life will become to feel more manageable and fulfilling.
