My approach to therapy is that you are a whole person & as such, I address your body, mind, & spirit in sessions. I began with Humanistic psychology & have studied Imaginal Psychology and several other theories. I will use what I know for what you need.
My focus
I began working with people with Schizophrenia &/or Major Depression. Then I began working with less severe issues. I was on the Domestic Violence Team working with mothers & children who broke away from violence in the home. I am currently working on general issues that many people have.
My approach
I often use Cognitive therapy as a basic foundational theory. I also like to use some Jungian practices. Additionally, I have some useful tools that I have learned along the way. I am a certified hypnotist. And recently, I learned EMDR, which many find helpful for traumatic issues. Sandplay/sandtray is a wonderful & fun tool, as is Art therapy.
