I have worked in different settings in therapy with all ages, and currently, I work with adults and older adults. Some of the issues I have specialty and experience with are depression, grief and loss, stress, and life transitions.
My focus
I work with adults who are looking for a counselor to work with them when they are not understanding what may be happening or why they keep behaving the same way, and may feel stuck. This can cause clients to be overwhelmed with a situation or their emotions. There can be a loss, trauma, or just changes in their life that need attention.
My approach
Therapy is a very personal process. I would consider myself Humanistic in my approach to counseling, which is personable, empathetic, and curious. A theory I utilize is family systems theory, which includes boundaries, expectations, and understanding relationships within a system.
