My communication style

I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space emphasizing curiosity and self-compassion and consider the whole person. I occasionally use humor when appropriate in sessions. I remain constantly amazed by the intersection of the brain and body and their influence on our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been driven by a fascination with mental health issues and a strong desire to help people. After completing my master's degree, this led me to work with individuals at the end of their lives in hospice, people experiencing addiction, people experiencing homelessness, and people who have been incarcerated.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting as a highly collaborative, client-centered partnership, where you are the expert on your own life and I am a supportive guide. The primary goal is to ensure the objectives are attainable, personally meaningful, and aligned with your values, needs, and aspirations.

Our first session

You will be invited to share, at your own pace, what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current symptoms and gather information about your history. If we agree to work together, we will set goals by exploring what you hope to achieve through therapy and setting up our next sessions.
