Hello, my name is Priscilla Altuve. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Mount St. Mary's College and a master's degree in Social Work from USC.
My approach
My therapy sessions are focused on being individualized, with the hope of meeting your needs. We will focus on identifying your warning signs and utilizing your strength to improve your quality of life. This will be achieved through using modalities such as CBT, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Strength-Based approaches.
My focus
I specialize primarily in depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, self-esteem, thought disorders, bipolar disorder, coping skills, women's issues, addiction, suicidal ideation, dual diagnosis, psychosis, and LGBTQIA+ topics. I am willing to see individuals.
My communication style
I aim to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where we can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. Through active listening and empathetic dialogue, we'll work together to identify patterns, build coping strategies, and empower you on your journey toward improved well-being. My communication style is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare included completing my master's degree in Social Work at USC from 2016-2020. I gained clinical experience at Encino Hospital Medical Center and UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital during this time.
My goals for you
My goal is to support you by individualizing our sessions to meet your specific needs and to help improve your quality of life. I look forward to working with you and will honor you're allowing me to better support you.
